Changes to Duration of State Unemployment Benefits in 2016
Beginning January 1, 2016, claimants will be eligible for up to 13 weeks of unemployment benefits pursuant to Section 288.060.5, RSMo. Claimants who filed their initial claims for unemployment benefits before January 1, 2016, will not see a reduction in benefits.
Severance Pay Information
Severance pay is now reportable and deductible on unemployment benefit claims. Claimants are not eligible to receive benefits during a period covered by employer-paid severance pay for claims effective Oct. 18, 2015 or later.
