The Labor and Industrial Relations Commission (Labor Commission) hears appeals from administrative law judge decisions in crime victims' compensation cases.

Filing an Appeal of a Crime Victims' Compensation Case Decision

A party aggrieved by a decision of an administrative law judge in a crime victims’ compensation case may appeal the decision by filing a Petition for Review with the Labor Commission within 30 days following the date of notification or mailing of the administrative law judge’s decision.

Filing an Appeal of the Labor Commission’s Decision

A party aggrieved by a decision of the Labor Commission in a crime victims' compensation case may appeal the decision to the Missouri Court of Appeals by filing a notice of appeal with the Labor Commission within 30 days after the Labor Commission issues its decision.
