Missouri Labor Department Launches New and Improved Web Site
Helping Customers Find the Information they need within Three Clicks
The Missouri Labor Department is pleased to announce the launch its new and improved Web site, www.labor.mo.gov. The new web site has several new features designed to make information and services more user friendly and customer oriented. Visitors to the Department's Web site can get the information they need within just three clicks of the mouse.
When revamping the new site, our goal was to present information in a way that has greater meaning to the user. These enhancements include new interactive graphs, streamlined and clarified informational pages about the rights and responsibilities of workers and businesses, and an easier online unemployment claims filing process.
Our new Unemployment Center will cater to the majority of users, and will act as a one-stop-shop for filing a claim, checking the status of a claim, and obtaining reemployment tips. The site also will provide information about other free services available to unemployed Missourians, such as resources to assist them until they find a job.
Another major change customers will notice is a better understanding of the programs we offer and some interactive tools such as a new weekly benefit calculator for persons receiving unemployment insurance (UI) benefits; a safety page, and an “Am I Covered Application” that will answer numerous questions regarding workers’ compensation insurance. We hope that employers and employees will find the “Whistle Blower Page” a useful tool for reporting fraud within the workplace.
The new web site reinforces the Labor Department’s commitment to serve the state of Missouri on labor-related issues.
