Labor Standards Division Creates New Certified Payroll Form The Missouri Labor Department’s Division of Labor Standards (DLS) has revised the Certified Payroll Form that is used by contractors and subcontractors working on public works projects to capture employee wage and hour data.
The DLS has created its own version of the Certified Payroll Form (LS-57) for better conformity with the requirements of Missouri’s statutes and regulations. Previously, the DLS accepted payroll forms provided by the U.S. Department of Labor. The DLS form will be available on Jan. 1, 2010, and should be used by all contractors working on Missouri public works projects. Any previous versions of the form once provided on the Department’s Web site should be disregarded.
“The new form will allow the DLS to capture the information it needs, while ensuring contractors’ and subcontractors’ compliance with state statutes and regulations,” said DLS Director Carla Buschjost.
The new Certified Payroll Form will be available in a fillable pdf, or the form can be printed out and submitted from the contractors to the Public Body.
