Commission on Human Rights Manager Receives Prestigious Award

On April 29, Sheryl Rose, a manager of the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, St. Louis Office, was awarded the Open Door Award by the Metropolitan St. Louis Equal Housing Opportunity Council (EHOC). Each year, the EHOC recognizes those individuals and organizations in the community who have gone beyond the call of duty to further fair housing in the metropolitan St. Louis area.

“I feel as if the award really recognizes all of the MCHR staff,” said Rose. “It’s truly the hard work and dedication of each and every worker that makes the difference in the St. Louis community and others throughout the state.”

The EHOC works to ensure equal access to housing through education, counseling, investigation, and enforcement.
