African American DancerCultural ExhibitThe Missouri Commission on Human Rights’ (MCHR) St. Louis Office staffed an information table at the St. Louis Festival of Nations. The event was sponsored by the International Institute of St. Louis on Aug. 29-30 in Tower Grove Park.

Highlights of the event included a fun-filled weekend of dance, music, food, cultural exhibits, folk-art demonstrations, and information and gift booths. Department staff provided information on the Missouri Human Rights Act, which covers fair employment practices, fair housing, and fair access to places of public accommodations. Visitors also could learn more about the MCHR and have specific questions answered regarding human rights and discrimination issues. Approximately 125,000 people attended the two-day festival.
