If you lost your job and were denied benefits or your worker is trying to claim benefits they are not entitled to you have the right to appeal the decision. In fact, over 5% of the determinations made by the referees are challenged and appeals are filed. Chief of Appeals Ron Miller highlights the importance for those appealing any unemployment decision to make sure to read all of the literature sent by our office about the appeal process and how to prepare for a hearing. This may be your only shot to tell your side of the story.
