More than 1,600 minority and women owned businesses contract with the state, but many more could benefit if they had the assistance they need to get on the state rolls. Office of Administration's Alan Green, Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity, says he is being creative when it come to reaching out to these communities to educate them about the state contract process. Job creation in these disadvantaged neighborhoods is vital to Missouri's economy.
