The Labor and Industrial Relations Commission hears appeals from administrative decisions in workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, tort victims’ compensation, and postsecondary degree hiring cases. The Commission also hears and decides prevailing wage disputes.
The LIRC serves as a higher authority appeal board, reviews appeals from workers’ compensation cases, unemployment insurance cases, tort victims’ compensation cases, postsecondary degree hiring appeal and reports. The LIRC also hears and determines objections to prevailing wage determinations and challenges to determinations by public bodies to enter into project labor agreements.
