To commemorate this special day, yesterday the department visited Husky Corporation, a leading manufacturer of innovative fueling products and a 14-year recipient of the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) award.
JEFFERSON CITY, MO - Today Senate Bill 90 was signed into law by Missouri Governor Michael L. Parson. This bill includes provisions that provide cost savings and efficiencies for Missouri businesses and workers while making communication with the Missouri Department of Labor's Division of Employment Security (DES) more convenient.
Carried by Senator Doug Libla and Representative Allen Andrews, SB 90 passed with overwhelming support in both chambers.
JEFFERSON CITY, MO - The Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) continues to expand the use of Box Account, a virtual mailbox, to achieve efficiencies for its external stakeholders. The Attorney General’s Labor Unit recently began using Box to file Answers to Workers’ Compensation Claims filed by injured state employees.

The Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations Division of Employment Security (DES) recently released a mobile-friendly version of UInteract, the Division’s complete unemployment insurance online system.
JEFFERSON CITY, MO - The Labor and Industrial Relations Commission (LIRC) has drastically reduced the average time it takes to resolve unemployment appeals from employers and workers. Ninety-five percent of cases are now completed within 40 days of reaching the Commission.
JEFFERSON CITY, MO – For the second year in a row, thousands of Missouri’s employers will see a reduction in their unemployment insurance (UI) taxes due to a decrease in Missouri’s UI taxable wage base (TWB). For Missouri employers the TWB will decrease $500 as of January 1, 2019, from $12,500 to $12,000.
