Jefferson City, MO – The Show-Me Farm Safety Committee is partnering with Purdue University to bring the “Gearing Up for Safety: Production Agriculture Training for Youth” curriculum to Missouri’s educators and youth. “Too many workers lose their lives in preventable grain engulfments every year,” said Loren Sweatt, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health. “According to the latest data available, there were 29 engulfments in 2016. A 21-percent increase from 2015.”

JEFFERSON CITY, MO - On June 2, 2017, a major disaster declaration was granted by President Donald Trump, allowing Missourians in 27 counties whose employment was lost or interrupted due to severe storms and flooding from April 28 to May 11, 2017, to apply for up to 26 weeks of Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA).
